Rifaximin Tablets 400 mg is a gut-targeted antibiotic, supplied as tablets.
Uses: Travellers’ diarrhoea, reduction of the risk of recurrent hepatic encephalopathy and irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhoea.
Age group: Adults and adolescents 12 years and above.
Usual dose: Travellers’ diarrhoea / infectious diarrhoea: 400 mg two to three times daily for 3-7 days; hepatic encephalopathy: 400 mg three times daily as advised.
Note: Prescription medicine – dose and duration must be decided by a qualified healthcare professional; refer to the approved package insert. Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
