Azithromycin Tablets 250 mg, 500 mg, 1000 mg is a macrolide antibiotic, supplied as tablets.
Uses: Respiratory tract, ear, throat, skin and soft tissue infections and certain sexually transmitted infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Age group: Adults and adolescents; children by body weight as directed by a physician.
Usual dose: 500 mg once daily for 3 days, or 500 mg on day 1 then 250 mg once daily on days 2–5; 1 g as a single dose for uncomplicated genital chlamydial infection.
