Description

Chloroquine Phosphate Tablets 250 mg is an antimalarial medicine, supplied as tablets.
Uses: Treatment and prophylaxis of susceptible malaria, as well as amoebic liver disease and certain rheumatological conditions.
Age group: Adults; children by weight as directed.
Usual dose: Treatment (adult): 1 g salt initially, 500 mg after 6-8 hours, then 500 mg daily for 2 days; prophylaxis: 500 mg once weekly, starting 1-2 weeks before travel and continuing 4 weeks after.
